Renown Gives Back to Create Stronger Communities

100% of Renown Income is Reinvested in the Community

Renown Health is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our region through financial support, services, facilities and the expertise of our physicians and staff. These efforts are made possible not only by Renown Health as a whole, but also by the individual hospitals, facilities and departments within our network.

As Reno’s only locally owned, not-for-profit healthcare network, all income generated by Renown Health remains within the community. It is reinvested in local programs, staff and equipment to enhance the health of our region.

With community and people at the heart of our mission, we strive to build a sustainable healthcare system that promotes a healthier Nevada for all. Our nonprofit status provides tax exemptions, allowing us to receive charitable donations and issue tax-exempt bonds, further supporting our efforts to benefit the community.

Our Community Benefit Mission

Our Community Benefit mission is to reduce health disparities, promote community wellness and improve access to care for vulnerable populations. This includes offering free and discounted care to those unable to afford healthcare, and partnerships with others to address health and well-being. In partnership with many community-based organizations, area schools, human and social service agencies, and government and business leaders, Renown supports many educational, public health outreach and community development initiatives throughout Nevada.

ER Wait Times

How are wait times calculated?

Our estimated ER wait times reflect the average time from check-in to being seen by a medical professional during triage, where patients are prioritized based on the severity of their condition.
