We are seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist with a focus on perinatal mental health and substance abuse to join our Women’s Health team. This is an opportunity to participate in an innovative approach as we build a comprehensive care team with the goals of increasing access to mental healthcare, especially during pregnancy. The desired therapist may also participate in telehealth, building community partnerships with the organization, and ultimately developing workflows to identify high-risk patients throughout the obstetric care system in Northern Nevada.

Position Details:

  • Full-time employed position with Renown Medical Group as a Provider
  • Dedicated team of Therapists, Psychologists, & Psychiatrists.
  • Opportunity to work in the Women's Health Department
  • Providing therapies for substance abuse, abuse, and/or pregnancy/post-partum.
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Formal Academic Affiliation with University of Nevada, Reno School Medicine/Renown

Position Requirements:

  • Experience: 2 years as a licensed clinician in mental health setting
  • Licensure: Ability to obtain and maintain State of Nevada licensure as LCSW, MFT, or CPC

Description
Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Education needed to obtain licensure as a LCSW or MFT.
Experience:
Two years minimum experience as a licensed clinician in a mental health setting, required.
License(s):
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Licensed Clinical Social Work license or Marriage and Family Therapist license or Clinical Professional Counselors license with the State of Nevada. Drug and Alcohol Counselor license with the State of Nevada is also preferred.
Certification(s):
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Prefer American Heart Association (AHA) approved certification but will accept online certification from American Red Cross Training Services, Advanced Medical Certification, or ACLS Certification Institute.
Computer / Typing:
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Ability to Credential through Renown’s Medical Staff and/or Payor Credentialing, as applicable.
