Biography

Dr. Alicia Gingrich specializes in advanced surgery for sarcoma, melanoma, gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and liver tumors. She cares for patients with primary and metastatic intra-abdominal cancers, skin, and soft tissue malignancies, as well as those with rare diseases including peritoneal and neuroendocrine tumors. Dr. Gingrich completed her fellowship in surgical oncology at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She completed general surgery residency at the University of California, Davis, where she also earned a Masters degree in Genetics and Genomics. Prior to her surgical training, Dr. Gingrich received her college degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and attended medical school at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, KS. Prior to medical school, she proudly served in the United States Army as a soldier in the 82nd Airborne Division. Dr. Gingrich is passionate about delivering high quality, individualized cancer care to her patients. She uses her background in oncology and genomics to participate in research aimed towards improving the availability and delivery of precision medicine for cancer treatments. She serves as the Principal Investigator for Renown on multi-institution clinical trials, broadening the scope of research available to Renown patients. Dr. Gingrich has published over 40 research papers and abstracts. She has been the lead author for numerous book chapters and has been invited to speak at national meetings. Dr. Gingrich is dual-certified by the American Board of Surgery in both General Surgery and Complex General Surgical Oncology. She is a member of multiple national organizations, including the Society of Surgical Oncology and American College of Surgeons.
